We love a Kent Wedding!

When planning your wedding, there are so many fantastic wedding venues in Kent to choose from.

Luckily enough, this beautiful Bride and Groom didn't have to go through the task of visiting them all, they had it narrowed down to just one venue, the Grooms mums pub (and wedding venue).

The intimate wedding started off at Danson House, a venue we have worked at many times before, and love (did we mention we love a Kent wedding?) the Bride and Groom were official, and so we made our way over to the Yew Tree in Maidstone to carry on the celebrations.

July in England is classed as wedding season, the sun is shines, sunglasses and hats are a necessity and guests can enjoy Pimms outside. You would think! This Southdowns Manor wedding could not have been further from this thanks to the Great British weather. It rained, it poured and it poured some more. This Petersfieled wedding was a wash out- BUT what a wedding! It was filled with fun, love and laughter. The Bride and Groom, to put it frankly could not have cared less if it was pouring down as they had each other and they were married! Of course, as soon as we had a break in the weather we made a run for it, puddles, wet feet, sinking heels and all........

We are so pleased Saffy and Danny chose us to be their wedding photographers, Southdowns Manor is a stunning wedding venue and is a wedding photographers dream!

Come rain (and lot's of it) these two were married and their love shone through!

The look of love at The Old Kent Barn wedding

As Kent wedding photographers we have worked at most Kent wedding venues- a few times over, but they never get boring, we are always looking for new challenges and new ways to make your Kent wedding one of a kind!

Kent is home to some of the most stunning wedding venues in the UK and Lauren and Reece's wedding was our second trip to The Old Kent Barn.

Ok, so we are a little bias but we think Lauren was the most beautiful bride in Kent on July 15th 2017 - see for yourselves......

The Knowle Country House, Kent wedding

We have had the pleasure of working for the Norfolk family previously, so when we received a call from Chris (Mum) asking if we would be wedding photographers for her eldest daughters April wedding we couldn't wait (or say no)

We hadn't previously been wedding photographers at The Knowle Country House in Kent and we love a new venue so we were even more excited for this Kent wedding.

Vickie is a self confessed hater of being in front of the camera, but that didn't faze us, we love a challenge! Everything ran smoothly at the Knowle and their wedding day was perfect.

And look- Vickie was in front of the camera and made the most beautiful April bride......

Harleyford Golf Club Berkshire Wedding

We first met Millie and David back in 2016 when we took them along London Embankment for a pre wedding photography session, we saw the moment we met them that these two had amazing chemistry and we couldn't wait for their Berkshire wedding.

May 2017 finally came round and so it was wedding day! We travelled to Berkshire and arrived to a room full of bridesmaids being pampered and a very calm, beautiful bride.

The wedding day was held at Harleyford Golf Club and the day was perfect for this bride and groom, a room full of love and laughter (and just a few happy tears).

The bride, groom and their wedding photographers (that be us) decided to leave the weddings guests enjoying the prosseco, canapés and nice weather and take a couple of golf buggies and use the Berkshire grounds to get some amazing wedding photography images. The love between this young couple shone through the lens and they made our job as wedding photographers an easy one! The way David looked at his stunning bride Millie was enviable, pure love and devotion to his new bride.

We departed Harleyford Golf Club shortly after the first dance and left the new Mr and Mrs Shepherdson to dance the night away with their guests.

A very Essex wedding

Essex is home to some stunning wedding venues and churches and as Essex based wedding photographers we love an Essex wedding (we also love to travel and work our magic at wedding venues further afield)

So when Becks and Anil contacted us about their Southend / Canvey Island wedding we knew this was going to be a 'proper' Essex wedding. The church in which they said their vows sits opposite Roots Hall and is the church where Becks' parents were married years earlier.

After the ceremony the guests were led by the bride and groom to their wedding reception venue which boasts Canvey Island beach as a backdrop. Of course we just HAD to get the bride and groom of this August wedding onto Canvey beach.

A relaxed London wedding

Long before their London wedding Becks and Jim met working for Trinity Mirror in Canary Wharf. The relaxed Stoke Newington wedding of these two could not have been further from the hustle of One Canada Square or the fast pace of the Daily Mirror.

We were thrilled when the bride and groom confirmed they were getting married at Stoke Newington Registry office. Having previously been wedding photographers there last year we knew just how great this place is!

Backs, her bridesmaids and some close family members decided to get ready at a nearby hotel and arrived at the hot June wedding in true London style- a route master.

The wedding ceremony was short and sweet, brief and beautiful and so it was onto the wedding reception. For this London wedding we headed to a nearby pub where guests enjoyed drinks outside in the June sunshine, followed by a delicious three course meal. The speeches at this wedding were staggered, the mother of the bride started off proceedings during dinner with heartfelt and emotional words about her stunning daughter and her new husband. The groom followed suit with a witty speech which had guests in tears....of laughter! The best man got to speak to the room later on once the evening guests had arrived. As the evening replaced the day the new Mr and Mrs Staples enjoyed their wedding night with friends, family and work colleagues.

David & Katie live in Essex but instead of getting married in the Essex countryside they opted for a Kent wedding

After visiting Cooling Castle Barn they knew this was the perfect venue for them to become husband and wife

As wedding photographers we have worked at Cooling Castle Barn previously so we are experts at what the venue has to offer.

The sun was shining on this Kent wedding but David & Katie opted for a wedding inside but the bride and groom, their friends and family made the most of the glorious weather for the remainder of the day

The wedding of Kirsty and Simon

This Stapleford Abbotts summer wedding last August was anything but a traditional wedding, and we loved every moment of it

It was the groom who took the lead organising this Essex wedding, there was a 2:1 ratio children to adults at the wedding, 6 of those children belonged to the bride and groom and for his wedding day the Groom sported a mohawk to match the colours they had chosen- which just happened to be black and bright pink!

The bride and groom did however keep with tradition and have a beautiful church wedding. We started the day at the bride and grooms home where the bride and her bridesmaids were getting ready and the atmosphere was very calm.

After the church we took a stroll with the bride and groom to capture them together and you could instantly see the chemistry between these two and wow did it come across on camera. These two are a wedding photographers dream to work with, so much love.

Mischa and Matt were married in Stepney Green, east London and after the church wedding and a few wedding pictures the bride and groom and their guests headed over to the Excel in E16 to celebrate the wedding day on the Sunborn yatch

The Sunborn yatch overlooks Canary Wharf and the o2 which make for the perfect east London wedding backdrop

The wedding of Michelle and Mark at High Rocks Kent

We had the absolute pleasure of being wedding photographers for Matt and Dave at their March Essex wedding

This was a first for the Georgie H Photography team as it was our first same sex wedding

Matt and Dave contacted us after we worked at their good friends Essex wedding back in 2014 at the lovely Cromwell Manor

Keeping with the Essex theme, Matt and Dave chose Ye Olde Plough House as their wedding venue, we have been fortunate enough to be wedding photographers at Ye Olde Plough House several times in the past (click here to see gallery) so we knew all the venue had to offer

We had so much fun with these two on their wedding day, we can't wait to post more wedding pictures, but in the meantime we will leave you with this image........

The Orsett Hall wedding of Jodie and Neil

Jodie and Neil are a fantastic couple from the heart of east London and we were excited when they chose us to be their wedding photographers. We are lucky enough to travel all over the UK as wedding photographers and we sure do love what we do, but being from east London it's always nice to work with another east London couple, and nope, before you ask, there was not one word about The Krays, no one ate Jellied eels and no one said apples and pairs :)

Jodie and Neil have thirteen years and three children together and on Friday July 10th they were married in the Essex sunshine at Orsett Hall

We have been wedding photographers at Orsett Hall in Essex a few times previously so we are familiar with the grounds. The Essex venue has a fantastic bridal suite which is a wedding photographers dream AND we were pleased Jodie decided to use it to get ready for her big day. We were able to use the suite for some fantastic pre wedding pictures of Jodie

The wedding of Rob and Rachel at Pine Ridge Golf Club

Panic, fear, pride and inspiration are not emotions a wedding photographer should feel after one phone call.

I hung up the phone after the lovely Rachel had informed me her wedding to Rob was in fact on armed forces day AND her Surrey wedding which was taking place in Guildford was in fact where the biggest armed forces celebration was taking place. "90,000 people are expected in Guildford the same day as our wedding" she exclaimed. We scrambled to reserve a Surrey hotel room to no avail as they were all fully booked, so we decided we would just give ourselves plenty of time and start our journey the night before.... just kidding!

As we pulled up to Artington House in Guildford where they were to be married, we breathed a sigh of relief, we had mad it, and we were over an hour early!

After the couple were pronounced as the new Mr and Mrs Dance we headed over to Pine Ridge Golf Club. This was our second visit to the Surrey venue, we were first here in 2012 and it was exactly how we remember it- plenty of fantastic wedding photography opportunities AND great staff, ticking the boxes for any wedding photographer

The day drew to a close (for us anyway) and the formalities came to an end so we left the Bride and Groom to enjoy the rest of the evening with their guests and to just simply

'Dance the night away'- sorry, we had to do it!

From Cooling Castle barn in Kent to Gosfield Hall in Essex this family know how to pick AH-MAZING wedding venues and therefore they are a wedding photographers dream family

This is the part where we explain, so Gary our Gosfield Hall groom was the brother of Clare who was one of our beautiful Cooling Castle Barn brides back in 2013. Gary married the sunning Kelly at the Essex wedding venue in April of this year

In April 2014, a year earlier, we had been guests at a wedding at Gosfield Hall to very good friends of ours, and although we did take note of all of the amazing places around these Essex grounds to take a bride and groom for their wedding photographs, that day we left our wedding photographers cameras at home and just took plenty of selfies on our phones (as you do)

So skip to 2015 and we are now wedding photographers at the Essex venue....excited much!

Gosfield Hall is a venue which for a wedding photographer has it all, stunning grounds, an amazing variety of rooms, the staff are brilliant and wow THAT bridal suite. For any bride getting married and the bridal suite is near the top of your list, Gosfield Hall has one of THE BEST Bridal suites we have ever seen - check it out!

As you enter Kent you are welcomed to the 'Garden of England' so when we (Georgie H Photography) have an opportunity to work our wedding photography magic in Kent we jump at the chance AND it's like music to our wedding photography ears when we are told it will be an outside wedding

A few years ago we were booked by the lovely Kirsty and Ben to be their wedding photographers for their big day at The Mecure Great Danes hotel 'A stunning hotel in the heart of Kent' (the hotel's words not ours, BUT we do agree)

Kirsty and Ben were so much fun to work with and their friends and family were fantastic wedding guests, they made being a wedding photographer (kind of) easy. So, as you can imagine we were over the moon when Kirsty's cousin Shyma contacted Georgie H Photography (that be us) about being her wedding photographers when she married her Groom David at another fantastic Kent wedding venue in Maidstone- Tudor Park Marriott Hotel

Oh, how we love this venue so, how could you not? An outside wedding in the Mid May heat and endless 'green' places to take stunning pictures it was the perfect venue for this perfect couple......

The wedding of Gemma and Mike at Birchwood Park Golf Centre.

Being wedding photographers we get to travel and see wedding venues all over the UK, and we LOVE working at new venues, but every so often a couple will book us to photograph their wedding at a venue we have already been lucky enough to work at- which of course we also LOVE

We are regularly seen roaming the wedding venues of Kent, you can always tell when Georgie H Photography are in town, you can hear laughing, clicks on the camera and you know that we are being just amazing Kent wedding photographers :)

So when we booked the Kent wedding of Gemma and Mike two years before their big day we hadn't previously worked at Birchwood Park, but by the time their wedding day arrived we had been to the stunning Wilmington venue for the wedding of Emma and Gary so we knew what this Kent venue had to offer

What can we say about Birchwood Park? Well, the grounds are just stunning and as the sun goes down it's the perfect opportunity to head back outside with the Bride and Groom. Georgie H Photography (that be us) love being wedding photographers at this Kent venue

Oh South farm how you were so, so good to us!

We traveled to the stunning South Farm for the wedding of Eloise and Ian, which is perfectly located if you are looking for a wedding venue on the Cambridge / Hertfordshire boarder and wow! Just wow! Everything from the bridal suite to the summer house where the couple were married is just perfect!

We all know the weather in the UK can be, erm, how can we put it, temperamental, so having a wedding on a 'farm' was always going to be like tossing a coin for good weather....so was it to be heads or tails? sun or rain? For this amazing wedding day WE GOT SUN and he had his hat on!

The wedding of Emma and Gary at Danson House.

Danson House, Bexleyheath and Birchwood Golf course, Swanley were the two stunning locations Emma and Gary had chosen for their amazing wedding

We had been wedding photographers at Danson House previously so we knew all that the stunning venue situated within Danson Park had to offer and as you can see from their wedding photos we made sure we took full advantage of the various rooms and grounds

This wedding day was full of the two l's laughter and love;

We were laughing from the moment we arrived at Emma's parents home in Woolwich where the Bride and her army of Bridesmaids were getting prepped for the day ahead. Neill became a Bob for the day, the bridesmaids couldn't remember his name, so I told them it was Bob, you can't beat Bob!

Gary had a look, a look reserved only for his beautiful bride, a look of pure love, pure admiration, pure happiness and wow does it show in their wedding pictures!

Since Emma and Gary were married, Emma's maid of honor has booked Bob and I for her wedding at High Rocks in 2016, so we get to see this lovely lot again!!

The last of the formalities.....The first dance

The last of the formalities at a wedding is the first dance, the first dance as husband and wife, the new Mr and Mrs, the together forever

The first dance along with the speeches are usually topic of conversation with many a nervous Groom throughout the day, we can only offer one piece of advice though.... Don't step on the wedding dress

The wedding of Kelly and Ilker at the Rayleigh Club

When my best friend asked me to be her maid of honor I of course said yes and I knew there would be certain wedding duties I would have to undertake but I knew I wouldn't be able to be her wedding photographer. Neill was asked to be, and decided he would still do the honor of being their wedding photographer and we hired a second shooter (the fabulous Sam) to work alongside him on the day

The wedding was booked for October 2014 at The Rayleigh Club, a venue situated in the heart of Rayleigh, we had been wedding photographers at a number of times previously so we knew all they had to offer across their stunning Essex grounds

When the day finally came along, it was strange being on the other side of the camera for once, I was busy with hair, make up, dressing the bride and drinking champagne of course! But the wedding photographer in me was still trying to work! I was still fluffing the wedding dress, still traipsing across the Essex golf course with the photographers....

The bride, as you can see from these wedding pictures looked absolutely stunning and the groom scrubbed up nicely too! The wedding was just simply amazing, and just how every wedding should be, there was plenty of laughter and tears plenty of food and drink and plenty of dancing and photobooth fun!

As the sun fell on Essex and The Rayleigh Club and as Kelly and Ilker ended the formalities of their perfect day (and before the party really started) with their first dance, the DJ played a classic Take That song chosen by the couple, and just like the song said, this couple will...........rule the world!

Amy and Andrew at Trunkwell House

When we received an email from Andrew asking us to quote him for his upcoming wedding, stating he was the brother of Lauren (a previous bride we had been wedding photographers for) we were excited as this was a great group of friends and family we had worked for several times already......

So we were thrilled when Andrew and Amy booked with us to work with them on their big day

Amy and Andrew were married this April at the beautiful Trunkwell Mansion House, a small but stunning venue in Berkshire and a venue we worked at April 2014

We could tell from the moment we arrived that this day was about friends and family coming together. The bridesmaids rallied round to make sure Amy was ready on time and had everything she needed, the room being full of laughter (and silly faces) well until Amy's son Rhome arrived suited and booted and the laughter turned into tears, happy tears of course!

As the sun set over Trunkwell Mansion on Amy and Andrew's wedding day they took to the dance floor for the perfect first dance

So the two N's (us-Nikki and Neill) were hired to be wedding photographers for the two T's (Tori and Tom) on a bright but chilly December day in Hertfordshire. Over the years we have been lucky with the weather and December weddings we have photographed, and this one was no exception. The sky was perfectly lit and we were with an amazing couple who were prepared to brave the chill for their wedding photos. The Hertfordshire Golf Club was a new venue to Georgie H Photography and we were excited to see what they had to offer, work our way around the grounds and work our wedding photography magic

After the ceremony we ventured out into the golfers territory (on their buggy's of course) to make the most of the venue and that we did (as you can see from the stunning wedding images below) but between avoiding golf balls on the 18th and tucking Tori and her wedding dress onto the golf buggy and then off again several times the light started to fade on this Hertfordshire wedding

Back at The Hertfordshire golf club house dinner was served and Neill and I sat by the roaring fire to eat (and warm up, as by this point I had no feeling in my fingers or toes- remember it was December after all) and to have some downtime before the speeches began

The speeches were lighthearted but sincere, just how speeches should be, and I think every guest felt a lump in their throat when Tom shed a tear whilst speaking to the room and his stunning bride, even from behind the camera we could feel the emotion

As the evening guests arrived the couple were ready to go with their first dance, Tori had pre-warned us about an exploding canon during their first dance, all we had to do was give th

e DJ the thumbs up to set it off, which we did and even though we knew exactly when it was going to explode this STILL made both of us jump

It was the perfect ending to their perfect Hertfordshire wedding day.....

Tori and Tom thanked us several times over the course of their wedding day and we kept joking "at least wait until you have seen the pics" I think from their feedback we received they were just as pleased once they saw their images
